Upravo zatvorih knjigu "Brick lane" Monice Ali.
I just closed the book "Brick Lane" from Monica Ali. I return to some parts ... and, unlike most critics, I am not impressed with psychologically tinted intimate story of Nazneen (main character) who comes from Bangladesh to London for an agreed marriage with an older (pseudo) intellectuals ... (more about the subject and forms and other similar things about the novel is beautifully written here:
http://knjigoljub.blog.hr/2006/07/1621378191/kritika-monica-ali-brick-lane-vbz-2004.html )- is another strong woman, I thought, but the study of weak and, finally, a lost man, her husband Chanua - it is more interesting for me... Read and evaluate ourselves ... and I copied one of his thought : "Every day of my life I was getting ready for success, worked for him, waited for it and do not noticed as the days go by until life is already almost over. And then you dawn .. . what are you waiting for has already passed. And it's gone in the opposite direction. As I waited on the wrong side of the street on a bus that was already full. "
