Završila sam s čitanjem "Družbe Isusove" (Šotola), "Zvijezde Babilona" (Wood) i "Kodeksa" (Grossman)..da, da...čitam uvijek nekoliko knjiga odjednom :)
I finished reading "Society of Jesuits" (Šotola), "Stars of Babylon"(Wood) and "Codex "(Grossman) .. yes, yes ... I always reading several books at once:)
No, treća knjiga...Kodeks...

The first book was relatively interesting, historical novel, but is applicable to the contemporary world. However, I wold not read that book again. The second - despite more than an interesting topic: destruction of the Alexandrian librarie, librarians escape with what they managed to save ... jump in today's world, a young archaeologist and the dying professor who gives her a task to find the Star of Babylon (with his handsome son - a police officer:)) ... search... Alexandrians, secret society... and their target, survival through the centuries ... crimes ... - It is actually a mere fun for idle moments when you do not want to employ the brain. However, the third book - Codex ... ...
"Lev Grossman's Codex is an exciting and intelligent, although somewhat removed and unusual contemporary thriller. Intellectual and hermetic built around the search for the mysterious medieval manuscript poorly known Chaucer's contemporaries becomes, in the best manner of Ecco, in tense and diversified story in which they meet the worlds of high and low, ancient and modern, written and virtual culture"
Reading the "Codex" you'll learn how to operate well-known, large libraries that receive a valuable donation, how complex is study of medieval literature, what are Easter eggs in applications and games, you will learn about English titles and their hierarchy, from which material people made codex, how as percivied copyright ownership in the Middle Ages, what is steganogram, methods "littera textura" (woven words), palimpsest, etc., etc.
